WHITFIELD, J. -- The Circuit Judge issued an alternative writ of mandamus commanding the City Board of Commissioners to call a special election of the qualified voters of the City of Pensacola, at which the following proposition shall be submitted: ""Shall the City of Pensacola abandon its organization under the provisions of law providing a commission from of government and assume its former aldermanic form of government;"" and to take all necessary steps for the holding of an election in accordance with law, or to show cause for not doing so. A demurrer to the alternative writ was sustained and the writ was dismissed. The relators took writ of error.
